About

Greetings. ‘tis Joséphine. I’m 22 (not sure when that happened) and no longer socially awkward but still disliking that pesky thing known as social interaction. But really, you wouldn’t notice. I cover it up by dressing well and exercising my good listener skills.
I’m majoring in something I don’t quite understand (Russian and Eurasian studies), and I spend a lot of time dabbling in Gogology. Professors claimed I was destined for a brilliant career in literary studies but that’s not how it’s going to roll. Apparently Russian espionage and counter-espionage is hip in Canada right now and I plan on getting on that bandwagon.
I’m a sometimes-vegan. This is partially a by-product of being raised by one and not being able to afford ethically produced meat on a student budget. Actually that’s a lie. I could theoretically afford ethically sourced meat but a kilo of that = enough dollars to buy that Nars lip stuff I fancy or 3 dozen cookies or 2 vegan cheesecakes. Also, I tend to burn/destroy/ruin meals with meat that aren’t prepared in a slow cooker. Frankly, I just really enjoy the inventiveness of vegan recipes. It takes some serious brain work.
I used to do Lupin III scanlations when I had more time in life, and I may work on that again sometime soon. Who knows?
Various mental preoccupations of mine that are hereby reflected in this blog include (but are not limited to):
- Doctor Who
- Vancouver Canucks
- 19th Century Russian Literature
- Food
- Fashion
- Existentialist garbage
Last words: I don’t like wearing pants.
